Barcelona is a city with 2000 years of history and a population of 1.6 million (4.5 million in its conurbation): a lot of places to see, go or eat. We’ve tried to select some places we like going, and where we actually go a lot. Some of these places may be very crowded during the peak season; try to go there first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon.
You’ll find the information in a series of blog posts. You can access them in three diferent ways that you’ll find in the menu:
- by neighborhood: el gòtic (orange marks in the map), la ribera (green), la barceloneta (purple) and el raval (blue) in the old city, and beyond the wall for the rest of the neighborhoods (yellow). We have also created the following map so when you are walking around you can see which places are nearby. If you are not going to have internet in Barcelona, you can probably download the map to be able to access it offline.
- top picks: a selection of our favourite places
- for children: best places for some family time
